CLAUDIO LUCIFORA is Professor of Economics at the Università Cattolica in Milan. He is research fellow at IZA (Bonn). His research interests are in Labour, Education, Health and Evaluation of public policies. He has been visiting scholar at the University of Warwick, Université de Paris 2, CEPREMAP, London School of Economics, Universitat Autonoma Barcelona, Universidad Argentina de Buenos Aires, Australian National University, Université Dauphine, Université de Nanterre and University of New South Wales. He is currently the President of AIEL (Italian Association of Labour Economists) and past elected member of the executive committee and Treasurer of EALE (European Association of Labour Economists), as well as member of the executive committee of AISRI (Italian Association of Industrial Relations). In 2000 he co-organised the first World Meeting of Labour economists (EALE-SOLE) which took place at the Università Cattolica in Milan. He has published books on low pay employment, the economics of education and the shadow economy, as well as articles in international journals on earnings mobility, wage determination, unemployment, labour market institutions, health and job quality.
