Themes
The research programme “Public economics and redistribution” encompasses the main themes of public economics (taxation, welfare state, social insurance, etc.) including also field like health economics and economics of education. The programme includes also analyses of inequalities in all their dimensions (income, wealth, health, well-being, etc.) and the way public policies can succeed in reducing them, or not.
Transversal theme
The issue of ageing, with related questions with regards to the pension system or private savings and wealth accumulation is a transversal theme of the programme “Public economics and redistribution”, encompassing issues like pension reforms, intervivos gifts, inheritance, or savings behaviours.
