The Observatory of well-being at CEPREMAP supports research on well-being. It brings together researchers from different institutions to apply rigorous quantitative methods and innovative analytic techniques. Affiliated researchers work on diverse subjects, including fundamental research questions such as the relationship between education, health, and well-being, the impact of peer relationships on well-being, the relationship of well-being to economic growth and the business cycle, and the evolution of well-being during the life cycle.
In addition, Observatory prioritizes work on well-being in France: the evolution over time, inequalities between different groups and regions, and the relationship of political choice to well-being. This work takes the form of surveys and studies, a regular series of well-being “x-rays” in France, and interactive tools. The Observatory works in collaboration with researchers from several different institutions, including the Paris School of Economics, Sciences Po MediaLab, Sciences Po Cevipof, and the OECD.
